And finally, The Mk1 vtr I have has started doing a funny thing lately,first thing in the morning or after a couple of days without use when I start the car it starts first time every time no probs but without fail if I put it into reverse within the first minute of warm up it will cut out instantly,and when it does so I can hear a sort of buzzing coming from possibly a relay in the fusebox area, but after this first minute of warm up there is nothing else for the remainder of the day etc,cheers guys,Bill.

The reverse lights could be shorting the circuit

If its not electrical sounds like it could be a bad clutch!
