175lbs WILL go coil bound very easily !!!

YUP! found that out today!
lmao sorry to hear it but that post was classic.
With the 2.25" springs I think anything under 200lb will go coilbound. I tried 170lb and 185lb and both went coilbound really easily.
that depends on what length of spring you go for
small dia spings are madenormally in 6 ,7 ,or 8" lengths --in what ever poundage yopu want--they went coil bound i am guessing cos they were 6"units ,so not much space between coils

well i don,t what you are doing boys ,but i have run from 200-500 on my car and never had a coil binding problem .
I,m going to take wild guess and say you are usng std length dampers and adjustable top strut mtgs and running car low .so what is really happening is dampers are bottoming out

^ i have to agree, I have never had a problem with coilbinding using 180-650lbs on the road.
I have however had bilstein dampers bottoming out from running too low with solid top mounts. All cured by fitting modified PTS dampers.
