does anyone have any design templates for the strut support to weld on?
(wedges that sit between the hub and damper shaft)
cheers

intriguing, never seen that before.
do you use your car for rallycross too?
it'd be really easy to make those up, its just bits of plate steel cut up and welded on.

Strange, I have never seen one fail. I did move to alloy hub carriers in the past but it was never for strength. As welshpug said if yours are failing it would be easy enough to make it up.

in all honesty, neither have I. but ive spoken to a few people in the rallycross scene and theyve said its worth doing whilst the strut's apart. and i guess in the event of the strut trying to bend at some point in its life those plates are there to stop it. :/

my guess is that they wanted to alter the camber angle ,so bored out the hub carrier tilted over the strut and then welded bits on to keep correct angle
never seen one bend --unless in an acident --and in that case it might be better to bend strut rather than chassis
