This kid hates MW2 so much he punches a wall and cries.

He\'s leading the anti MW2 group... since the rest of the group is mostly made of girlfriends of guys that like COD.

[edit] A message to that club can be found here.

I.T & Computers Chat / CPU\'s running high.
« on: 17, November, 2009, 03:09:30 AM »
Recently my computer has been frequently freezing for a few seconds at a time.  To be more specific, web browsers, chat clients etc will visually pause for a few seconds then continue [repeat].

Sound is continuous, my mouse doesn\'t freeze, everything else looks ok.  I was looking at my resource manager and it looks like 2 out of 4 CPU\'s are running high.  When these 2 spike that\'s when my comp freezes.  It\'s very odd.

I can\'t see any programs using the CPU\'s resources apart from a windows executable (wininit.exe - averaging 22% - it\'s virus free).

I\'ve got an AMD Phenom 9750 Quad Core processor with Win 7.

Any ideas?

General Chat / Google Wave
« on: 06, November, 2009, 02:51:41 AM »

https://wave.google.com/wave/

Who has it?  I doubt many people will have...

If you remember the early days of gmail, it was invite-only before the public release.  The same goes for this, at the moment it\'s invite only, I got one a few days ago.

I\'ve been using it with a friend, it has some nice features, but it seems more of a group-thing.  Perhaps it\'s more suited for work, projects, groups etc.

If you don\'t know what Google Wave is, read below.

http://wave.google.com/help/wave/about.html

I\'ve got it and I still don\'t fully understand it.  I\'m sure it\'ll be useful though.

It\'s particularly hilarious at 2:05 but let it play from 1:15.

The quidco cashback probably won\'t be paid (or maybe it will because of the publicity) but it\'s nice to hear of such deals. :)

General Chat / A380 UK Tour
« on: 05, September, 2009, 15:12:42 PM »
This might not be anyones cup of tea ...

Did anyone see the A380 doing it\'s tour round the UK today?. I didn\'t know of it until today when it done a fly-by over Glasgow airports runway. A lot of aircraft engineers were standing waiting outside the hanger for it. I was on Twitter at the time and saw an old friend said it was just about to fly over, just as I stepped outside, it flew in.

Quite a sight.

General Chat / Movies: \"District 9\" & \"500 (Days of Summer)\"
« on: 04, September, 2009, 21:41:22 PM »
This week, me and the lady went to see two movies.

The other half\'s choice was 500 Days of Summer.  I went in thinking, \"Meh, another Rom-Com.\"  I was right and wrong, it was another rom-com, but it was 500 times better than any other rom-com I\'ve seen.

District 9 was my choice.  I went in with high hopes and left in a total downer. Seriously, after all the hype from The States, I genuinely thought it was going to be a good film. I was wrong. It was very slow and boring at the start and it was in documentary-style for at least 30-40 minutes - in this time about a dozen people had left the theatre.  After the film switched from documentary to movie, it got slightly better but still ultimately boring.

Go see 500, leave D9.

Try not to \"google cheat\"! I cheated at one bit :(

If you want to post hints, use the spoiler.

Hints:
First hint: There are 3 small batteries, 1 is hard to find but it\'s in sight).

Second hint: You\'re swiss knife can be used for cutting things and screwing.
I don\'t know if many will bother with this because it\'s a Friday, I\'ve been bored for a few hours. :(
