General Chat / Citroen DS3 150 THP Demo..
« on: 07, October, 2010, 11:09:38 AM »
Well this is a bit old-skool.

Got a DS3 150THP on a demo at the moment, goes back tomorrow.

Here are a few thoughts in no real order

Fast...
Handles well, plenty grip
Rides nicely
Steering accurate and weights up nicely at speed
Sat Nav is SHIT
Seats are good, but lairy looking
Brakes are good

Would go into detail but I\'m at work and pushed for time

Here\'s some pics hosted on facecock so they may not show up...

And here\'s one of the V6 C5 I had last week

Evening all.  Spent most of the day on the GP Loop.  Not a lot of crazy action out there but some hairy moments.

7D + Sigma 70-200EX or 120-300EX, occasional 1.4x TC use.  Just resized and gently sharpened in Lightroom.

Exif is present, here\'s some pics.

Nash coming out of Druids in what looks like an unmarked Plod car

Porker heading out of Surtees up onto the GP Loop.  Sun was quite bright at times

Paul \"Everyone\'s A Winner\" O\'Neill.  Love him

Nice lighting at Sheene Curve for this Ginetta G50

Formula Downpour, driven by Noah

Ginetta Junior Bin

Some really photogenic colour schemes this year.  Andy Jordan at Westfield

And another G-Fiddy to end on

Photography Chat / Brands Hatch March 2010 - Britcar & MSVR
« on: 30, March, 2010, 20:06:04 PM »
A few pics from the first couple of meetings of the year.

Britcar wasn\'t very exciting and I only did the Saturday for the MSVR Season Starter - disaster on the Sunday!

Not been online anywhere really, my pc died after 8 years of hard work so I finally got around to replacing it with some new fangled 3gb memory 64 bit Windows 7 malarky.  Compared to my old one it\'s outrageous.  The graphics card makes everything look awesome.

I\'ve also got no Photoshop CS3 - so these are quick edits using Photoshop Elements 2.  Yes, 2.  LOL

Kit is either 20D or 40D, with Sigma 120-300 + 1.4xTC or Sigma 70-200.

Exif is present too :)

In no particular order;

Low light malarky - Safety Car

Awesome M3 - 20D used

205 losing it\'s exhaust

I\'ve never done avaiation before so God knows what these look like on anyone else\'s monitor.  Weather was nice but didn\'t help by being cloudy and sunny all  in the wrong direction and at the wrong time.

Here goes.

Photography Chat / Castle Combe Bank Hol race day 4th May
« on: 05, May, 2009, 21:13:44 PM »
Miserable fucking weather.

After 2 days of brilliant sunshine and the GP Loop at Brands I was helping out a mate shoot the LMA Saloons and Combe Saloons at Castle Combe on Monday.  Wasn\'t expecting it to be so cold and windy, glad I had all my weather gear in the car as it was baltic.  Note to self for the future that, if the weather forecast says warm, still take all yer shit.

Stayed put at Quarry all day, as Combe is shit these days for photography to be honest, even the Media boys have to stand behind the EnormoFence down at Quarry, which is shit.

Still, had a good laugh and hopefully will get some shots published and a some kind of Media access next year.  Who knows.

40D & 20D, 70-200 & 120-300 as usual.  Shots are similar as I stated that I didn\'t move much all day!  These are just resized, logo\'d and a pass of unsharp mask with regard to post processing.

A great day on the GP circuit at Brands today for the A1 GP gays.

If you can\'t afford to do F1 at Silverstone then A1 GP is the next best thing.  Based on the Ferrari F2004 F1 car with a 4.5 litre V8 with 550bhp, these cars are as close to F1 as you are going to get really, except maybe F2...  Hopefully the series won\'t go down the pan and they will be back next year.
