General Chat / horses on the road
« on: 18, August, 2009, 17:53:43 PM »
i know this will probably end up with some jokes or comments on how annoying they are but id like to pass this on after a girl my girlfriend knows died this morning.

\"we\'d like to remind ALL drivers that horses can be on the road any time of the day or night. \"I didn\'t expect them to be there\" is not an excuse for taking the lives of a person AND their horse. Be careful and be aware - you may not like ...horses, but that rider is somebodies mum, dad, daughter, son, brother, sister or partner and they often have no choice but to ride on the road.

A young woman and her horse lost their lives this morning to someone speeding on a blind bend a family member watched helpless DONT let this be your fault in the future! Most riders now take an exam to learn about riding horses on the roads do your bit as a driver!\"

its struck a bit of a chord with me because the gf rides and i know shes had near misses. personally id not like this happening to her.

thanks for reading..

Photography Chat / leather clad men with 2 wheels missing..
« on: 09, August, 2009, 12:25:23 PM »
i learned several things while at brands yesterday watching the superbikes:

1) lugging the 120-300 around all day is hard work because its heavy
2) i should of worn shorts
3) bikes are fast and harder to shoot than cars
4) brands is hillier in real life
5) hospitality is GOOOOOOOOOD
6) shooting RAW is a pain in the arse to work with later
7) i want a 2nd body to keep the 120-300 on so i dont have to keep swapping
8) lugging the 120-300 aroung all day is hard work because its heavy

anyway pics.. (more of a teaser while i process the keepers)

From the tour of the Worx garage by the team manager (gay underexposed shot)

The view from hospitality darling.. roffle
