http://www.saxosportsclub.com/Parkers.html

You can view a 2002 plate VTS on there for free, and they value that at £1040  with 90k so I reckon for a V reg at 69k you are probably looking at about £700 - £1100 depending on condition, tax, mot, tread left etc.

Best thing to do is look on Auto-Trader, Piston Heads, Parkers etc and see how much similar spec ones are going for.

Quite impressed with my guess ;)

Yep pretty spot on Munfred.

You need to check the wiring as it sounds like you have a short somewhere.

Common place is the where the wire harness goes through to the tailgate and often gets damaged.

Troubleshooting & Technical Issues / ABS not work+ ABS light too
« on: 17, August, 2011, 08:04:57 AM »
Does the ABS work if you slam your brakes on?

Maybe the ABS ECU is knackered and needs resetting or replacing?
I believe if the sensors fails, the ABS ECU will switch off the ABS until the faults are cleared.

Won\'t fire could be a number of things.  Does the immobiliser symbol light up on the  dash at all?

What do you mean by \"wheels lock up\" - You are leaving it in neutral when trying to jump it aren\'t you?

Need more detail really.

Brakes, Suspension & Steering / no power steering
« on: 13, August, 2011, 13:50:23 PM »
Check the Ignition barrel
Check the power steering pump earth

Does sound like a loose connection / relay.

32
When you press the Hazzard button, does the button itself light up and flash or does nothing happen at all? Can you hear the relay clicking?

33
It is located on the throttle body on the right hand side. You should see a electrical connector at the back near the underside of the body.

34
It does sound like a sensor problem.

Lambda sensor
Air intake sensor

Is the car tuned at all, manifold, exhaust, air filter etc?

Any ideas?

I have tried the ignition fix but I can\'t find the brown wires to join together. Think it\'s different in a vts.

Thanks

No its not different in a VTS, you will still have the main power cable going from the ignition. Just use a multimeter on the ignition to check what is happening.  See if the voltage changes when you rev it etc.

If you don\'t know how to do this, then I would suggest you get a garage or someone to help you.

Regards,
Mike

Is it a transponder type immobiliser? i.e No keypad.

If so, you can\'t bypass it as it locks your ECU. Sounds like you may need to replace the pickup ring on the ignition, or your key is damaged.

You can\'t buy them already smoked as far as I know, however you can do it yourself quite easily and cheaply.

Take a look at the \"How to\" Section :D How To Smoke Mk2 Headlights
