hi, just orderd 1 this should help me out, but does the rubber seal have to be fitted back on as i think it looks crap on stripped out cars

you dont have to but you will end up with the underside of the shifter covered in crap and could cause it to run un-smoothly if it got grit etc inside of it. also the rubber seal acts as sound proofing and you could end up with more noise inside of your car, not that that really matters in a track slag!
