  • What thickness are you currently running paul, 0.6mm?

    Cant see any need to go thicker, the extra CR will give it a bit more low down grunt I think aswell? and its not like you will be running silly amounts of boost so wont hurt?

    A few tuners are going for high compression engines running boost nowadays. makes for some interesting power :)

    {should really read more into this myself as im not too clued up lol}

  • John told me to use the 0.6 H/G to raise CR up as low comps are a bit to low.

  • i been told if you run a thicker gasket you can get more fuel/air to combust so it gives you abit more bhp

  • raising the C/R makes the engine require less boost for the same power. Thats what john said to me, might have changed his mind now then?

  • but with high compression and boost you will run into det problems very early on, unless using very high quality fuel (race fuel)

    using a thicker gasket does increase the cylinder volume, but it doesnt affect the swept volume, so you wont see any power gains from the way you would be expecting.
