why people are getting so worked up about it is beyond me tbh..

Because the 5D was one of the biggest milestones in the digital era? Years ahead of its time because it was full frame and the high ISO performance was fantastic for its time, if that\'s not something to get hype then why the hell not?

If this camera lives up to the hype and hopes of all the prospective buyers with mind-blowing high performance, new AF, high mega pixels, etc, then it could follow the orginal 5D and become the best camera in its market/category for another 2/3 years.

sorry, my point was is that its been so hyped up and the rumour mill has been grinding for so long that chances are it wont meet the standard of the pedestal that people seem to be putting it on before its even been announced.

it\'ll be hyped up and then they\'ll moan that it doesn\'t have this and that feature which the d700 does...

Ah well this is true, I guess we can only wait and see. One thing I take from this marketing campaign is that I think it will meet these rumour standards, otherwise they wouldn\'t be making such a fuss over it and dragging it out. Who knows!

If it has 21mp, HD movie mode, weathersealing etc like everyone wants it will be one absolute beast of a camera which will abliterate any of the competition, but its whether canon want to do this or not, with possible negative side effects!

hahah yeah man.

warehouse express is a rip off anyway. The annoying thing is the prices for the rest of the world. Might actually be cheaper to get them shipped from the US. I\'ll have a word with Kerso, once they\'ve been out for a couple of months see how it fairs.
