  • you might consider swopping cam box covers for old style ,or fittng a heat shield to ex manifold --the turbo has been known to soften them and cause distortion + oil leaks

  • even the works c2,s when n/a and using a bunch of bannanas change front cover for the alloy type ,so if they can melt them with n/a how much hotter do you think the turbo manifold is going to get??
waiting to see what happens is what they used to call \"tombstone technology \" in the aircraft industry \"
.IF the wing breaks cos of stress -we.ll-fit a stronger one - pilots are cheaper than new wings--.

in your case the possible scenario is --cover distorts --oil leaks +runs on red hot manifold --instant and terminal engine fire??.

maybe me being \"belt + braces\" --but thats what old age+ experience teachs you -

  • i can see what you are saying john.its not like i thrash it for hours on end and dont check my temps and under the bonnet,i do.

ill have to look into sorting my alloy covers off my old engine.the cover will need baffeling wont it john?if i want to run a breather on it.
