More heavy rain and high winds are forecast for Monday, with gusts of up to 60mph possible in exposed areas, weather experts said.

Downpours later in the week could see northern and western areas lashed with up to six inches of rain in just two days on Wednesday and Thursday, said Meteogroup UK, the weather division of the Press Association.

Great, another rainy dull day for us all  :x

  • The in \"in thing\" on the M1 is to tailgate despite the rain then slam on every time you see a brake light ahead.
