Citroen C2 Headunit won\'t eject cd?

My girlfriend has just bought a Citroen C2 with a standard Clarion headunit. We have been told the headunit won\'t eject CDs. However, the previous owner managed to remove the disc manually, but says it will need resetting.

Will we need to buy a new headunit or is it just the case of removing it and taking the headunit apart. (also worried about needing the code if I remove it though)
